Best performance with the least resources

With so many injuries and business trips, Nippon almost canceled the game in the last min, but the mgmt decided that playing the game with whatever squad we can get was the only way to show respect to our opponent, so we decided to take on Latini, one of the best teams in the cosmo league on Wed night at SAS. When the game started, Nippon only had 10 men including some developing members. Therefore, the strategy was to get a scoreless draw. The strategy worked well until Ichi, the leader of the defenders got injured after 25min. This forced the team to play with only 9 men. However, the team showed great SAMURAI spirit and never gave up the game. The first half was 'ok', only allowing 2 goals although there was a 'shower' of shots (the defenders and keeper showed excellent performance). However, the stamina was a big challenge in the second half. Although everyone fought very well, we couldn't stop the Latini attacks and allowed another 3 goals. Overall, the score was 0-5. Congrats to Latini and we hope to see you next time in our usual shape!
